Having Him Around

Your Price: $5.00

This is a one woman version of the skit, "Still In His Pajamas."  A woman receives a phone call and begins to share with her friend about how life has changed since her husband retired and is home all the time now.  Some of it is humorous and some serious as we hear how she copes with the new way of living.  Through all the difficult adjustments, she still finds something good in it.

One actress.   about 6-7 mins.
Ordinary to Extraordinary

Your Price: $10.00

This is written as a one-woman monologue, but it could be done with multiple actors.   A newswoman (or man) interviews six women from the Bible, each very different, which could allow an actress to show much range, playing several characters.  They include: Leah, Jezebel, Esther, Ruth, Deborah and Mary.  If the sketch is too long, it can be easily adapted and shortened by removing some of the characters.

One actress.    About 9 minutes as written... can be easily shortened.
It Should Have Been Me

Your Price: $10.00

This is really four short monologues dealing with people who are at the end of their ropes.  Each one has a different dilemma:  One is an alcoholic, one didn't find happiness in riches, one has cancer and the last one is suicidal.  At the end of the sketch, a pantomime of Christ entering and removing their "chains" is played out and then He is taken away to be crucified.  At this point the suicidal person cries out, "Not Him, it should have been me!"   You can also use demonic and angelic characters throughout the monologues.

4 actors with lines  (2 males, 2 females, or easily adapted to any gender - plus a few extras)  About 15 minutes.

Remember Me?

Your Price: $5.00

This is a one-man monologue about "leaving a legacy". A man is reading the paper and begins to read the obituaries. There is one about his good friend from church who recently passed away, and he reads about all the wonderful things that his life meant to people and how he had an effect on their lives. In contrast, he reads about a man he barely knew who lived down the street. This one seems much sadder and without much to remember him by.

One actor.  Only about 7-8 minutes. Mostly read, not much to memorize.

The Phone Call

Your Price: $5.00

This is a one-man monologue about "forgiveness". A man receives a phone call in which he recalls an awful offense from a brother at church and how it has affected him. He openly shares his feelings and struggles with trying to forgive, when another call comes, and it is clearly the offender calling to ask forgiveness. He quickly learns how to forgive and how it is an act of obedience as well as something that needs to happen in the heart.   There is also a two-man version of this skit available called, "The Confrontation."

One actor. Only about 7-8 minutes.
